T&W consulted with the University on a project that converted a 1900’s era dormitory facility into a multi-purpose student services facility. The project involved replacing the existing wood framed structure with steel and concrete, as well as the installation of a geothermal heating and cooling system. In February of 2016, the Master Builders’ Association of Western Pennsylvania announced Becht Hall as one of the best construction projects of 2015.
This project is the latest of many projects on which T&W has consulted with the University. Mr. Thomas’ and Mr. Williamson’s consulting relationship with Clarion predates the formation of our firm and began in the early 1990’s – when they served on projects at various University landmarks including Founder’s Hall, Montgomery Hall, Student Recreation Center and the Science and Technology Center.
